Plate Ident

KBA Plate Ident is a system for presetting registers and for identifying plates directly in the press.

How does it work?

• Measuring heads at the plate shaft scan the measuring marks imaged with the plate
• Presetting data are then calculated for register at all the printing units
• Corrections are automatically made in the press
•  A data matrix code that is also imaged with the plate allows the system to check whether plates have been correctly positioned in the unit for the next job
• The matrix data also support automatic job changes from the console
