KBA Jackets

The changing combinations of inks, substrates and process consumables which have emerged over recent years have led to enormously increased demands being placed on perfector presses. In the case of the system of rough-chrome impression cylinders used by KBA, this has meant a reduction in the service life of the ink-repellent surface and thus a possible impairment of print quality. For this reason, KBA has developed “KBA Jackets” for the impression cylinders following the perfecting unit. As KBA manufactures the jackets itself, they can be matched to individual press requirements up to a maximum substrate thickness of 0.5 mm.
