Board blower air

The board blower air package is an option providing for smear-free sheet transport through the printing units when working with heavier boards up to approx. 600 g/m². A continuous application of blower air ahead of the impression zone prevents the sheet from coming into contact with the blanket cylinder or crossbeams in the press. This board blower air is just as effective as timed air blasting systems. The power consumption, however, is considerably lower than with timed air blasting, even when running at full load. Board blower air is a module of the CX package, which comprises a range of components for the processing of boards up to a thickness of approx. 1.2 mm.
