Folder maintenance
You want to impress your readers, advertisers and print buyers with an immaculately printed product. Which means delivering a brilliant print quality and razor-sharp folds. In order to preserve the outstanding folding precision of KBA web presses throughout their entire service life, we offer a choice of two maintenance packages: a smaller package after 3,000 hours of service, a bigger package after 10,000 hours. Both packages include a painstaking inspection of the entire folder, including control cams and copy guides.
As an option all the belts in the folder can also be replaced. We use only original belts of the highest quality.
We believe that, for our customers, transparency and the ability to plan ahead are of crucial importance. Which is why we submit a precise calculation and offer for the delivery and installation of a standardised spare-parts package, and the labour involved in resetting the folder. All the spare parts we fit or assemble are guaranteed for six months.
To avoid needless down times we organise installation work to fit in with your production schedule. Where the press is in frequent or constant use folder maintenance can be conducted in several stages, allowing night-time production to continue as planned. With the standard maintenance packages there is generally no need for a prior inspection.
Small maintenance package
- Maintenance interval approx. 3,000 operating hours or 1 year
- Replacement of folding knife, jaws and pins
- Test production run upon completion
Large maintenance package
- Maintenance interval approx. 10,000 operating hours or 2 to 3 years
- Based on annual folder maintenance
- Replacement of folder consumables (e.g. pull rings, needle and spindle bearings, trolleys, brushes etc.)
