Production data interface
The production data interface enables basic job and production data to be exchanged between a production planning system (PPS) and the press console. The corresponding data are generated as an XML file and transferred between the press and a company file server via Ethernet. The importing of job and production data from the PPS spares the press operator time-consuming manual inputs.
The following job data are communicated to the press from the PPS:
- Job list, job number, job name, job comment, customer, job sections, sheet length, sheet width and print log entry
During production, the press reports the following production data back to the PPS at one minute intervals:
- Job number, job section number, print log number, number of copies, date, time, net sheet count, gross sheet count, press speed in sheets/hr, production start and end times, automatic plate change start and end times, job start and end times, start and end times for impression cylinder, blanket, plate and ink roller washing
